Windtex recently embarked on a promotional tour of Texas, their aim was to make clients aware of the company’s blade inspection and repair services.
Our managers visited the Roscoe Wind Farm, located in Roscoe, Texas. It was once the world’s largest wind farm, spread over 100,000 acres of land, and it can power about 265,000 homes easily! Texas produces more energy from wind than the combined efforts of the other 25 states in the US! The wind farm has about 634 wind turbines with the capacity to produce a combined total of 781.5 MW clean energy.
Whilst in Houston, the managers also visited the American Wind Energy Association WindPower 2019 conference, where over 450 exhibitors have stands representing over 50 countries.
A total of 37 sites were visited and 3,800 miles driven.
